Steam heat content measurement

STEAMTHERM meters are used as technological meters for measuring of the heat content in steam and they are typically installed at the outputs from steam plants, at the premises, at heat-exchanger stations or industrial processes using the energy in steam.

They are delivered in the configuration of a flow meter to measure the flow of steam and condensate and come with steam temperature measurement sensors that also measure condensate and steam pressure. The quantity of the delivered or transferred heat is determined by means of an ETM 5.00 universal calorimetric counter.

Main advantages:

  • possibility to measure the content of heat in steam by all approved methods (direct, indirect or substitution method or their combinations)
  • possibility to use different flow meters of steam (vortex or orifice steam meters) and different sensors to measure steam temperature, condensate and pressure with standard electrical outputs
  • calibration or verification of all components of the system (calorimetric counters, flow meters for steam and condensate, sensors to measure steam temperature and condensate and steam pressure) can be made separately.
  • possibility to transfer dates to a control room over a long distance
