The ultrasonic clamp on flow meters

ELIS PLZEN a. s. has the priority sales rights to clamp on ultrasonic flow meters made by the Japanese company TOKYO KEIKI INC. in specific countries in Europe under a certificate of distributorship. The flow rate values are determined by the difference between the travel times of ultrasonic waves propagating in the measured liquid in and against the flow direction using  the transit-time principle. The measurement is independent of the electrical conductivity of the measured fluid. Moreover, the ultrasonic transducers are clamped on to the outside of the pipe so it is not necessary to cut pipes or stop flow to install the meter and there is no pressure loss. The application of clamp on ultrasonic flow meters serves many functions across almost all lines of industry.

The main advantages:

  • Clamped on to the outside of the pipe – no pipe interruption
  • No pressure loss
  • Independent of the electrical conductivity of measured fluid
  • Dimensions DN13 ÷ DN6000
  • The flow meter can be configured using a PC
  • USB data transfer (UFP-20)
  • Pipe thickness measuring (UFP-20)

Stationary Tokyo Keiki UFW-100 ultrasonic flow meter

Main features The UFW-100 clamp on flow meter Transit times of ultrasonic pulses transmitted in a liquid vary with the flow velocity of the liquid and ultrasonic flow meters utilize this characteristic to measure flow. Regardless of whether the liquid is electrically conductive or non-conductive, ultrasonic flow meters can measure various types of liquids such as potable water, river water, industrial water, agricultural water, wastewater, seawater and pure water. Transducers are clamped on to the outside of the pipe so…

The Tokyo Keiki UFP-20 portable ultrasonic flow meter

Main features The UFP-20 portable ultrasonic flow meter The time it takes to propagate ultrasonic pulses in a liquid varies according to flow velocity. This principle is utilized by ultrasonic flow meters, which provide signal output proportional to the flow rate. The UFP-20 portable flow meter can measure flow by simply positioning the transducers on the outside of pipes. The UFP-20 flow meter supersedes our UFP-10 or UFP-1000 models and offers a more compact design with additional functions such as…
