Metrological center for flow and heat meters calibration and verification
ELIS PLZEN a. s. owns four Test Rigs to calibrate flow meters, two in-house calorimetric counter calibration platforms and one in-house temperature sensor calibration platforms. The K39 authorized metrological center is located in the manufacturing premises of ELIS PLZEN a. s.
Thanks to the available equipment and highly qualified staff the center is fully competent not only to meet the company’s requirements, but also to provide metrological services to external organizations. Among the services available are the calibration and verification of all types of calorimetric counters used for heat-content measurement in both water and steam. Four flow-meter test rooms make it possible to calibrate and verify the parameters of all types of flow meters.
During the tests, the flow meters, including mechanical water meters, ultrasonic, induction and vortex flow meters, are hydraulically and electrically connected to the test equipment using drinking water as the test fluid. It is also possible to calibrate or verify temperature sensors for heat meters in water. The metrological center provides calibration and verification of small compact heat meters in water from different producers.

The test room equipment allows for standard installation of the flow meters being tested, as well as the simulation of various model and development configurations of the hosting hydraulic system, including the simulation of hydraulic disturbances and the emulation of flow-stabilizing straight piping sections of various lengths at the flow meter input and output, among other options.
ELIS PLZEN a. s. can also arrange tests and verification of all components of heat-content measuring systems, such as pressure and pressure difference sensors. These services are provided by the AMS K39 metrological center.
